POTATO LOLLIPOP / VEG LOLLIPOP - RECIPE

Potato lollipop recipe is an easy lip smacking snack for kids. Kids will relish when this is given as evening snack accompanied with tomato ketchup. It will give the energy to enjoy their evening playtime after school.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Potatoes : 2 large boiled and peeled
  • Green chilies : 2-3
  • Ginger : 1 inch piece
  • Corn flour : 2 tablespoons
  • Bread crumbs : ¼ cup
  • Cilantro :1 sprig
  • Chaat masala : ½ teaspoon
  • Salt : As required
  • Oil : For deep frying

PROCEDURE :

  • Boil potatoes and peel the skin
  • Mash them well
  • Make a paste of green chilies, ginger and coriander
  • Add this paste to mashed potatoes
  • Add salt, chat masala to the above potatoes mixture
  • Make small lemon sized balls from the above mixture
  • In a small bowl make a thin paste of corn flour by adding some water
  • Keep bread crumbs ready in another plate
  • Heat oil for deep frying
  • Now take each potato ball and first dip in the corn flour paste and then roll in the bread crumbs
  • Now drop in the oil and fry till golden brown. Repeat the same every time. Place all of them in a plate with oil absorbent tissues such that excess oil is absorbed by it
  • Now take some toothpicks’ and prick in the potato balls
  • Potato lollipops are ready to eat
  • Serve them warm with tomato ketchup​
